Learn To Skate at Winsport

WSCR is once again pleased to offer a Learn to Skate program and has expanded the program to provide offerings in both the fall and winter.

WSCRA is offering a learn to skate program for all ages. This is a great opportunity for you and/or your child to learn the basics of skating. Lessons will take place at Winsport/COP in the Markin MacPhail Center.

Registration is open to both member and non-members, however spaces are limited. Registration is required for this program.

  • • Members: $10/Family of up to 4 children
  • • Non-Members: $35/family of up to 4 children
  • (note that you can also sign up for a $25 membership by clicking here and register for this event as a member for $10.)
WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW AND BRING:
  • Mandatory for learn to skate participants:
    • Helmets with full face cage
  • • Mitts at all times
    • Parents/participants to arrive 10-15 mins early so kids are suited up and on the ice for their start time.
  • Highly Recommended:
  • • Waterproof mitts recommended
• Snow pants to reduce injury
Optional for parents/caregivers:
• Parents have the option to help their own children during the learn to skate classes
• Parents are highly encouraged to come on ice if child has never skated before and is unable to stand on their own.The parents should also wear a helmet.
