Cougar Camps

Register Today!

A summer program for children ages 6 to 12 years old brought to you by the West Springs/Cougar Ridge Community Association and The City of Calgary. The two Cougar Camps occur in August at the Calgary French International School and St. Joan of Arc School in West Springs.

Everyday you can expect that City of Calgary staff, whom have attended staff orientation/training and have their Standard First Aid and CPR certification, will lead the participants through a wide range of activities, games and crafts.

We ask that all participants come prepared for the day with:

  • lunch and/or snacks – NO NUT PRODUCTS PLEASE
  • water bottle
  • appropriate shoes (sneakers)
  • sunscreen
  • hat

When you arrive on the first day of camp, you will be asked to confirm your registration, emergency information and pick up information. On this day you will also receive any additional information you may require throughout the week, including details about the weekly field trip! We’ll have more information on the specifics of the field trips as we get our summer program staff in place and plans are firmed up in June.

A usual day will have participants engaged in various art-based projects, activities and games of varying levels based on the participants’ overall ages, interests and abilities. Throughout the week, participants may also experience various special guests, prolonged projects and theme-based activities. Although we pre-plan all activities, we take a strong cue from the participants in order to make the camp the most enjoyable it can be for all!
