Canada 150 “Celebration on the Hill” – Saturday, September 2

The Strathcona, Christie & Aspen Community Association (“SCA”) is co-hosting a celebration of Canada’s 150th with the communities of West Springs/Cougar Ridge, Coach Hill, Patterson, Springbank Hill, and Signal Hill.

There will be no parking allowed near the SCA Community Association.  Instead, consider hopping on one of the free shuttles that will be operating continuously from two locations in West Springs/Cougar Ridge:
– Calgary French & International School
– St. Michael Catholic Community

Youth can also participate in the Art Show and Lego Competition!

ART SHOW:
We are looking for art that celebrates Canada, Youth, Diversity, First Nations, or the Environment.  Art will be displayed at the event on September 2.

FLUENT IN FRENCH?
SCA is looking for someone to sing the national anthem at the flag raising.  A child to sing would be especially welcome!
SCA is also looking for someone who could translate signs into French.

MAIN HALL SHOWCASE:
There will be free tables for business and non-profits to showcase themselves.  They need to fit into the theme:  “What could help a resident?”  Registration is required by e-mailing:
