Canada 150 Celebration on the Hill

The Strathcona, Christie & Aspen Community Association (“SCA”) is co-hosting a celebration of Canada’s 150th with the communities of West Springs/Cougar Ridge, Coach Hill, Patterson, Springbank Hill, and Signal Hill.

* Citizenship Ceremony     *  Flag Raising Ceremony
* Free Pancake Breakfast hosted by Mike Ellis, MLA (for the first 2,500 people)
* Open House     *Multicultural Entertainment Stage     *Outdoor Family Areas

Free Shuttle Service
There will be no parking allowed near the Strathcona Community Association.  Instead, consider hopping on one of the free shuttles that will be operating continuously from two locations in West Springs/Cougar Ridge:
– Calgary French & International School, and
– St. Michael Catholic Community.

No pets.  No smoking. Bring a water bottle. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Youth can also participate in the Art Show and Lego Competition!

We are looking for art that celebrates Canada, Youth, Diversity, First Nations, or the Environment.  Art will be displayed at the event on September 2.

SCA is looking for someone to sing the national anthem at the flag raising.  A child to sing would be especially welcome!
SCA is also looking for someone who could translate signs into French.
