WSCRCA’s 10th Annual Recycling Event

When: Sunday, June 5th from 9:00am-2:00pm
Where: Calgary French & International School #700-77 St SW in Calgary

Are You Available to Support the community for a couple of hours?

Are you looking for a way to give back and get to know others within your community? Then come and spend a couple of hours with us.

We are looking for your help and there are many options to volunteer in the morning and/or the afternoon for only a couple of hours.

You will get to meet a friendly group of people, enjoy some Starbuck’s coffee, sandwiches, fruit and veggie platters (and also some sweet desserts).

This is one of our core community events, and it helps provide residents with a great way to recycle and dispose of unwanted goods.

If you are able to volunteer for this event for a few hours that day, simply sign up by following these 3 easy steps:

1) Click this link:
2) Review the options listed and determine the spot(s) you want to volunteer for
3) Sign up for a spot! It’s that easy – you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on VolunteerSpot.

Alternatively, you can email to sign up for a position.

There will be many options for dropping off unwanted items:

  • Electronic Recycling Association will be providing a truck for electronics recycling
  • The Salvation Army Thrift Store will be on site to pick up household items and clothing
  • We will have a bicycle pick up area for sending to those in need
  • An area to drop off heavy steel, scrap metal, tires and batteries will be available
  • Re-Matt will be on hand collecting mattresses. WSCRCA is fully subsidizing the levy to recycle the mattresses.
  • Kidseat Recyclers will be on hand picking up child car seats. Please strip all cloth and buckles before dropping them off. WSCRCA is also fully subsidizing the levy to recycle the car seats.
