U10 Age Group (Born 2011 – 2012)

  • Registration Fee:
  • Season generally starts around the last week in April and ends by the last week in June.
  • Teams will play in with other associations in the Southwest League (SWL). This is a locally run grassroots league on the West side of the city that has house league type of play with a little more structure than our house league in U8. All teams play about 20 games throughout the season (approximately 2 times per week). Each team will play approximately 50% home games within our community and travel to the away teams for the rest. Most of the away teams are within 5 to 10 minutes from our community. The SWL is setup to realign at mid-season to ensure teams are playing in the correct tier. The league is formally structured with scores, standings, and youth referees.  It is still aimed at being a fun recreational but competitive league style of soccer. More competitive leagues can be chosen by searching other local soccer programs such as West Hills United.  The SWL allows us to choose our own community teams, have our own home field and play soccer in our community. It also gives us a good set of teams to play against. SWL postpone until restrictions lifted (Updated May 16)
  • The SWL aims at having structured times:
    • Mon/Wed for Girls: 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.  (60 mins) (Updated May 19)
    • Tues/Thurs for Boys: 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.  (60 mins) (Updated May 19)
    • SWL could have two games on some nights.  In anticipation of this and the 90 minute format, we have revised the start times to 5:30 p.m. to allow for a 6:00 p.m. game start. Practices will start at 6:45 p.m. for the second game, to allow for a 7:15 pm game start. (postponed) (Updated May 16)
    • **Please note: SWL sets its own start times. In 2018, there were some games that started at 7:15 pm. We will update this section with any new information as it becomes available. (postponed) (Updated May 16)
    • Final exact times will be determined when the season is setup. Each team will also have a 1.5 hour practice session flexible to meet the team’s time frames. (postponed) (Updated May 16)
  • WSCR home field location will be near the Waldorf school.
  • The SWL also has a year-end tournament (which is a lot of fun). (postponed) (Updated May 16)
  • Teams of 8 or less (Updated May 16)
  • All practices to be held at home fields (Updated May 16)
