If you wish to register, please contact skating@wscr.ca
See below for more details
Registration Information to Know:
- Skaters can register for back-to-back sessions, if space is available
- Coaches recommend that first time skaters register in a single session only, as an hour ice time can be physically demanding
Mandatory for preschool skating participants:
- Skates and a CSA approved hockey helmet for each skater
- A cage is required for skaters who cannot confidently skate forwards and backwards without support and without falling.
- Parents/Guardians with a helmet AND skates are welcomed on the ice to help their child. Please note that the helping adult needs to be a proficient skater
- Mitts / gloves are required; snow pants are strongly recommended
- Parents and participants should arrive 10-15 minutes early so kids are suited up and on the ice for their start time
- A PARENT/GUARDIAN IS REQUIRED TO BE AT THE ARENA AT ALL TIMES. Failure to have a parent/guardian available may result in the child being unable to participate.
Parking:
- Coming from the top of the hill (Cougar Ridge) and traveling down WinSport’s West Track Service Road, the parking lot is located before the RFID gate on the left hand side. Once parked, walk past Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame and across Canada Olympic Dr SW to the entrance of Winsport Arena/Markin MacPhail Centre. Stairs and elevators are available to take you down to the rink level (Level 0).
- Coming from the TransCanada Hwy, parking is available in several lots around the WinSport Arena/Markin MacPhail Centre. The Player’s Lot is the closest and at rink level.
Cancellation Policy:
There will be no refunds issued unless the program is full and the vacancy can be filled by a participant on the waitlist. Registrations are non-transferable. Withdrawal/Refund requests must be made to skating@wscr.ca
